. Do what you want, not what you dont want. Cant you understand?
Time to rant. Second post in a day but will still rant.
I think the paper chase here is going overboard.
Too many people here are elitists; they think jcs are the right way in life and an easier way to uni.
Get this straight: Since its much harder to get from poly to uni than from jc, does that mean if a poly student makes it to uni, he or she is better than the college student?
Think about it. You want a good job, you want a meaningful life, please forget about college. Its total shit. People go there just to go to university. And to get a degree. For what? Money. Is the cash really important to us? Well, to many parents and kids here, it is.
Do you think working in an office all day long is meaningful? Wearing nerdy shit to work everyday, with bosses to suck up to, hell, wouldnt you be better off going back to school, which is like working?
All of us have big dreams. BIG dreams. They want condo, car, you name it, they want it. Heck man. You know actors/actresses here? They earn just about as much as the average office worker, but they are doing what they enjoy. Thats what i call passion. Not like typical singaporean, study so hard, get that bloody piece of paper that determines whether this elitist society of us respects you or not.
REespect? I dont need your respect, corporate bastards!
My senior told me dont go poly. That was when i was sec 1. I actually believed her. Now i think thats stupid. If you study all your life just for money, wouldnt you be better off taking 10 years of your life and work on some abilities that would earn you big bucks?
Here everything is studying, School. Whatever man. Whatever. Everything here now is money. Heck, compassion cannot beat money. You get what i mean? The money you have, the more likely you are never going to feel for people like us, suffering under this stupid system.
The system has failed buddy, lets start a revolution. We need it.
Im going to talk to the MPs one day about this, i want a meaningful life.
