. hahaha
Saying that my blog is dormant for extended periods of time after every post is an understatement.
I finally found the mood to update again.
First up.....rhq4 sPACE aCADEMY cAMP!! December 6-7.
Ok....im not from rhq4.....im from rhq 2...but just went because at home nth to do and for fun? and learn more about my faith and stuff like that.
I reached there late (as usual), lucky they still chanting all.
Sat with Vincent's group first, then moved over to my group (Apus), where the only person i knew was Jingfang. I didnt settle in as well as i wanted to, but eventually got used to it.
we started off with some damn lame ice breaker games by vincent's grp. i hate it. after that we had some briefing, then a treasure hunt in which clues were pasted everywhere. each clue leads us to the next station, and forfeits had to be done if we couldnt crack the clues.
we should have finished all 16 questions, but thanks to a purposefully given wrong clue (the next station was supposed to be the library, which is at the fourth floor, but the station master told us the 1st floor.....dang he meant 1st from top...haha...). We still owned the game though.
Shorty after that, YMD chief Leonard came in for an hour and a half dialouge session. after that, it was dinner. char siew rice! not bad. my fav stuff. i wasnt full at all after the eating session. they had blackcurrant drink (read: ribena) for drinks. Not too shabby.
we had the campfire after that....very nice idea to hold it in an air-conditioned room....haha. it wasnt real fire, just light sticks and some visual effects. Creative i must say, esp the way Ghee Han had to light the "fire" and kickstart things.
Had a live rock band playing for us two songs. Paramore's Decode and their original. The vocalist was super good.
The later parts were hilarious. Totally kickass man.
After that, shower, wash up time and supper. I had another packet of char siew rice because i was so damn hungry.
I only brushed my teeth, washed my face and changed my clothes. After that, tried to get out of syc to buy some chips, but the gate was locked so had to settle for some nescafe. I fooled around the drums. Very fun playing it.
Didnt sleep much, at best 2 hours odd. Some jokers didnt sleep at all. I simply had a hard time sleeping.
Now the waking up part was funny You know during school camps, like sec 3 camp all, you woke up because you were forced to? or because the tent/sleeping area was too uncomfortable/hot? this was the opposite. we were supposed to wake up at 6. By 530am, all the guys were awake and lights were on. Why? Too cold. The air con thermostat had only two accessible temperatures. One was switch off, second was icy cold. haha. sleeping bag wasnt enough to save me from the cold.
Girls woke up at 6. apparently they got the opposite treatment. Their ICs kept walking in and out and patrolling. Their air-con got switched off halfway. At the guy's side, ICs slept damn well (they woke up last) and air con was freezing cold.
We had some cheap breakfast of nutella jam bread with milo. I ate only a bit.
After that, morning gyongo, then the highlight of the second day. Another race, this time at Handerson park, alexandra bridge or something like that. I sweated, was itchy like hell, but had real fun. We won the race!
Later, at telok blangah, we had the prize giving. Apus won three awards! Hahaha we kinda owned the competition, but didnt win the biggest prize for Best Group.
After that, i was wasted and tired. I exchanged my goodbyes with the guys and Jingfang, then left the camp, tired but happy.
Returned home to find my parents not yet back from Malacca, so the house was mine for the whole night. Cooked my dinner and watched tv. Packed my stuff for class chalet, then slept.
Class chalet, 8-10 december
Nothing to wow about, especially for me.
Reached abt 3 plus, with xing ho.
Ivan followed too, but we only brought him there cause he didnt know the place.
We damn dumb la, thought is costa sands downtown east, then later realised it was in pasir ris. sigh...
the chalet sucked. no not the event itself, the structure. The "living room" of the chalet was barely bigger than mine....pretty decent for a family of 2 adults and 2 children (that is the recommended capacity)...but not for a class.
in the evening, we went for dinner. i met Jingfang at downtown east....haha talk abt coincidence. Xingho and ivan were buying mac, i already had my dinner waiting for me at chalet.
sleeping was pretty decent.
second day was okay, went to eat breakfast as soon as we woke up, where prices were over the moon. After that went back and passed the day slowly. We visited the bowling alley and arcades just to see wat was there to do. Played arcade for a bit, damn ex.
Went cycling later, someone had to ride into mud and forced many of us to stop...in the mud, i dirtied the slippers i wore, my pants and my whole feet. spent 20 mins washing up. After that i went swimming.
At night, learned how to play blackjack and played after eating at the bbq. Mr ramthan's family and himself came too. Ms Koh came alone. the bbq was pretty ok imo.
I had actually planned to leave that night, but decided to stay one more night. Went bowling where i got 2 strikes but otherwise totally hopeless.
The next morning, i woke up when everyone else was still sleeping, immediately packed up, and left for home.
Was so glad to be home.
Saturday, dec 13.
Attended the kotekitai concert to support jingfang. went with the old couple and han cheng. i didnt know until today deon was there too. haha.
the concert was pretty good, the dance was decent at best for me, but the band played really well. Kudos to them!
The band was kind enough to have THREE encores. Wow. That is awesomeness.
We waited for jingfang to come take a photo with us but she couldnt because she was busy with after-performance briefings all.
left ica at abt 10 plus, had dinner with them at mac, then left for home at abt 11.
Great evening i had.
Monday, 15 dec, which is today.
Had a jam-composing session which was hard and long. Didnt really complete anything.
However, we still got wednesday. Lets hope something good will come out of it.
Thats all folks. rmb to tag. signing out.
